Lori L. Malkoff, MD, MPH earned a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine in 1980 with cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She completed her Medical Degree at UC Irvine in 1985, post-doctoral training in Family Medicine at UCLA, and earned a Master of Public Health degree at San Diego State University's Graduate School of Public Health in 2002.
Lori L. Malkoff, MD has taken additional post-doctoral training in the fields of physical medicine, rehabilitation, neuroscience, psychology, and nutrition. Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health and Fitness Instructor, she is also one of very few Medical Doctors in the U.S. to be trained as a Feldenkrais Teacher and Practitioner. Specializing in acute and chronic pain relief and providing pain treatment for seniors, athletes, and children, Lori Malkoff has owned and operated her sole-proprietorship, private practice for 32 years.
Lori Malkoff, MD has pursued a lifetime commitment to health and fitness. As a San Diego youth, she was an age-group swimming champion. While attending undergraduate and medical schools at UCIrvine, she was a nationally-ranked athlete in swimming, water polo, and surfing. A sponsored surfing professional since 1989, Lori Malkoff continues to train and compete regularly in her hometown of Encinitas, CA. PRACTICE POLICIES AND FEES
Visits are by appointment only.
I am happy to see you regardless of coverage. Visit frequency is typically once or twice weekly, and most people with only mild pain enjoy significant pain relief from a single session! Those with moderate to severe pain are usually discharged from regular care within 2-4 weeks.
Payment is expected at the time of service. For your convenience, I gladly accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. Lori Malkoff, MD does not participate in the MediCare or MediCal programs, nor is she a preferred provider for any insurance plans. Insured parties file any insurance claims.
Fees: New patients enjoy a 90-minute appointment for $200. Return visits last one hour, and are $125.
Please cancel in advance any appointment you cannot keep. There is a charge for appointments cancelled without 24 hours advanced notice. The private business phone landline is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Texts are not accepted. E-mail is always available. Please leave a brief message, and I will return all correspondence by days end. Contact me promptly with any questions or concerns regarding your visits and care plan.
